Ignacio J. Permuy
PresidentIgnacio Permuy, Founder and President of Permuy Architecture, received his BA in architecture from the esteemed Pratt Institute of New York. In his subsequent career, he has developed extensive experience across a wide range of design disciplines and applications, earning him a reputation for innovative approaches and achieving results.
Mr. Permuy is known for his fresh, dynamic, and visionary outlook to design that continues to change skylines and strengthen communities. For over 25 years he has worked on a number of notable, high-profile projects and spearheaded award-winning teams to deliver and exceed client expectations. As president, he has built an exceptional team and brought leadership, skill, and integrity to each and every aspect of their design projects. The culmination of this approach has been the establishment of the firm’s “signature Permuy design” that extends beyond the striking and seamless appearance to embody a collaborative process with all involved to consistently accomplish the best possible outcome.
Mr. Permuy is passionate about the arts, culture, and applying his expertise to giving back to the community. As such, he currently serves on a number of community and regulatory boards including the Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) of Miami, the Construction Regulation Board of Coral Gables, and the Florida International University CARTA Dean’s Leadership Advisory Board, among others.
Jesus A. Permuy
Principal, AICP, APAMr. Permuy studied architecture at the School of Architecture and Planning of the University of Havana and received a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. After leading multiple government departments and global firms, he has since focused on professional urban planning and community development consulting. As a highly respected planner in charge of urban development, his core philosophy is that architecture and planning should be in service of the person, first and foremost, in order to develop a more humanistic society.
His celebrated 50+ years of experience includes a diverse range of national and international projects, focusing especially on the design, coordination, and management of urban and community development projects. Mr. Permuy’s life and award-winning career have laid the foundation that has guided and inspired subsequent generations of the Permuy family across the fields of architecture, the arts, and public service.
Believing strongly in service to the community, Mr. Permuy has served on and chaired numerous boards, councils, and task forces throughout his career and continues to serve on the Miami-Dade County Social and Economic Development Council.
John P. Fullerton
PrincipalMr. Fullerton is regarded as among the most seasoned and capable architects active in Coral Gables, FL. After graduating from the University of Florida, he has gone on to establish a respected career and reputation built on more than 40 years of invaluable experience in architecture, interior design, land planning, land analysis, and consulting.
Among his current roles, Mr. Fullerton is a leading member of the premier Giralda Place Residencies team and an integral part of its success in the luxury residential market of South Florida. Additionally, in alignment with the values of Permuy Architecture, Mr. Fullerton is also committed to applying his impressive experience in support of the community through public service. He currently serves as a longtime board member of the Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board, ensuring the character, design, and planning principles of Coral Gables are upheld for the betterment of its residents.
